Practice notes
The dance-hall two-step: a kick on 1 and 3, a snare (or cross-stick) on 2 and 4 and eighth-note hats. The bass alternates root and fifth with the kick — "boom-chick, boom-chick". The simplest groove in country, and one of the most danced.
