Your pads
The pad layout you use on the site — the Smart layout, a finger drummer’s preset or your own — so the pads on the device match the pad view.
The kit
The pattern’s drum sample kit, one sample per pad at the kit’s levels. Alt pads get a second take, ghost pads the soft hit.
Every section
Intro, main, chorus, each fill and the outro as their own sequences, plus the full song, so you can loop one or play the whole thing.
The feel
Swing, accents, ghost notes and flams are written into the notes at the tempo you had on the page.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Every pattern and kit downloads free, with no account. The patterns are original grooves by fingerdrum.io, and the drum samples are CC0 or CC BY — a README.txt in each download lists them and how to credit the CC BY ones.
Which samplers can open the files?
The Akai MPC Sample (a project folder you copy to its microSD card) and Koala Sampler on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows (a .koala song file). For any other sampler, the Sample Kits page has every kit as plain WAV files.
Does fingerdrum.io connect to my sampler?
No. You download a file and open it on your sampler; the site doesn’t talk to the device. Play along with the pattern on the device, or use the site’s pad view and fingering on screen while you play.
Which pad layout, kit and tempo does a project use?
On a pattern page, exactly what the page plays: your pad layout, the kit chosen under Sound, Simplified on or off, and the tempo you set. The quick buttons on this page and the home page use your saved layout and Sound setting at the pattern’s own tempo.
Can I change the project?
Yes. It’s a normal project: swap sounds, move pads, record over the sequences, resample, or build a song from the sections.
Can I get just a kit, without a pattern?
Yes. Every kit on the Sample Kits page has MPC and Koala buttons that save the kit alone on the Standard 4×4, ready to play and record.
