Backing track maker
Music to drum along to. Start from a preset for your genre or from blank, build the chords with ★ suggestions, give each layer a figure, and hear it with a groove from the pattern library while you play the pads. Save it and it plays under any pattern from the Backing menu.
How it works
Chords run left to right, instrument layers top to bottom; each cell is the figure a layer plays on that chord. Click anything to change it on the right, where ★ marks the predicted best chord form, figure or next chord, with its reason. Every choice plays when you click it.
Song sections
The loop is the chorus. Intro, verse and outro come from it the way the genre arranges a song, and Full song plays them in order. With a groove, each section plays with the groove's own intro, main, chorus and outro, so you can rehearse the whole form.
Take it with you
Save to My backings to use it under any pattern in the same meter, share a link, or export a MIDI file (one track per layer) or a WAV. Presets are in the general style of genres, artists and composers, not affiliated with them.
